Art is Everywhere

I have always been interested in capturing images and preserving them for everyone to enjoy. I believe we can find art in anything and in any place – a flag waving on the Fourth of July, a simple flower, a merry-go-round in Paris or a restaurant sign.

I enjoy photographing the beauty of nature, recording scenes from daily life and viewing everyday objects in a different way. I prefer natural light and coming upon an object or place as opposed to fabricating a look.

While my first love is film, I recently bought a digital camera and have been exploring it’s benefits. I occasionally use a polarizer or soft filter lens but none of the photos here are computer enhanced.

All of these images have made me feel something – happy, contemplative, lighthearted, thankful and more. Many make me smile when I remember where I was when taking the shot. I hope my images evoke a feeling in you too.
